<bodecchi@optonline.net> How can we possibly thank you enough,
Marisa, and Istrianet for all you have done for us "old" Istriani and Fiumani who may be very proud Americans, Canadians, Australians
and other nationalities and yet still feel the undescribable
attachment to that far away land of ours, of our fathers and
grandfathers. May your web site enjoy continued success in 2008.
God bless you.
Sincerely, Bruno Sinosic

mancava fino dagli anni dell’esodo e dove aveva sempre sperato, invano,
inserzione.
Noi, suoi nipoti Warren,
Laura e Sandra Perucich, salutiamo i ‘muli e mule de Pola' e tutti
quelli che le erano amici. Ringraziamo Istrianet se ci concederà questo
spazio.
Claudio Perucich

Obituary annoucement; I sadly would like to inform you that our beloved and
devoted retired president of 14 years and founder of the ‘Associazione Famiglie
Istriane Giuliano-Dalmate di Montreal e dintorni’ “ Giuliana Steffe Pivetta “
passed away this past Tuesday January 8th 2008 at the proud age of 72 years old
after a valiant fight with a disease. She was born in Santa Domenica di Albona
Istria on February 15th 1935 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. It was an honor
to have known this vibrantly colorful active great woman who was intensely
dedicated with her husband Angelo at bringing together socially Istrianis and
their children displaced from their homeland. My best memory is the feat of
hosting the 1995 Raduno in Montreal in the province of Quebec in Canada where
Istrianis from all over the world came together. I wish to thank her for the
time she spent teaching me and many others about our beautiful Istriani culture
and heritage. The funeral services will be held at 14h00 this Saturday January
12th at the St-Leonard Church located at 5525 Jarry est Saint-Leonard (Montreal)
near Lacordaire boul. If you have any messages, memories, stories or pictures
that you would like to share please send them to me I will transmit them to her
family and the club.
