Clocking in as 142nd among 20,000 elite runners, including those who run for living, is no small achievement for the guy from Tupljak, Istria, who car-pools to work at the Plomin power plant to save on gasoline. His goals are now focused on finishing somewhere among the top 100 in New York City and Boston.
